Founded in 2001 by Sephiroth, LUNATIC AFFLICTION stands for uncompromising underground black metal with a Nordic atmosphere, expressed through tales of ancient mythology, demonology, misanthropy, and naturalism.

After a creative hiatus and line-up changes, the project from the Nuremberg black metal underground has been active again since 2016, releasing three LPs and delivering a handful of rare live performances that channel the energies of the black arts.

In 2024, the latest opus Nerto Brixtia was released, now to be carried forward with a new voice from Austria.
